We as a species have become entirely dependent on our phones. People who travel a lot use their phones to make their work or business easier. People who are in back to back meetings or virtual environments need their phones to function throughout the day. Most individuals have apps they cannot live without. I am going to share a few that I can’t live without in my coaching business.
Dropbox (Cloud Storage)
Dropbox can keep all of your documents at your fingertips. The files can be accessed from your computer, phone, and tablet all at the same time. With a wireless printer, you are set to print directly from your device. This app is amazing for your coaching needs because it can integrate into your document signing software and you can send your contracts from your phone as well. This app has saved so much time in my coaching business.
Zoom (Video Conferencing)
Zoom is a video conferencing software that makes meetings a breeze. On any given day, I can use this app to have meetings, record podcasts/interviews, have client sessions, and do livestreams. This is an amazing tool that lets you schedule meetings (one-time or recurring) and integrates with your scheduler to add the meeting links to your calendar invites. It also can link to your email software so you can embed the meeting replay and email it to your email lists. These are just two reasons why I love it. The best part is that you can use your virtual backgrounds on the app and if you turn your phone sideways you will have the widescreen view like you would get on a computer.
HelloSign (Document Signing)
HelloSign is a great document signing tool. You can get unlimited signs, integrations to many tools, templates, and reminder emails. The app is not as robust as the computer version but it will let you send and sign a document saved in your email or Dropbox. This can come in handy if you need an emergency sign or you meet a new client and they want to sign right away.
WhatsApp (Messaging)
WhatsApp is a great communication tool for messaging, group chats, and global phone or video calls. When I travel internationally, I use WhatsApp to communicate with my team and travel mates. You can also have coaching sessions, send documents, videos, and graphics with ease. There is now a business version that integrates with your Facebook business pages for clients and followers to contact you more easily. This has proven to be a valuable tool for the international part of my business.
Acuity Scheduling (Scheduling)
Acuity is a wonderful scheduling tool. You can schedule a meeting in different categories on different calendars. You can make events and coaching sessions where the clients pay right in the system so you don’t have to make separate invoices. The color-coding helps you recognize your appointments at a glance. It integrates with your payment software, google calendar, email software and more to automate the full scheduling experience.
These apps can work together or separately depending on your needs. I hope you check these apps out or find alternatives in these categories, because every coach should have systems to make their lives easier. It is an added bonus that you can easily access your systems from your mobile devices. Please let me know what you think and feel free to share your favorites as well!
